In line with Toyota's global safety standards, Toyota Ghana is implementing a recall campaign to replace front airbag inflators manufactured by Takata. Certain Takata airbag inflators have been found to be susceptible to moisture intrusion over time, which may cause excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. This could lead to the inflator rupturing, potentially sending metal fragments through the airbag cushion and risking injury to vehicle occupants in the event of an accident. To date, there have been no reported injuries or fatalities related to this issue in Ghana.Affected vehicle owners will be contacted by their nearest Toyota dealer and asked to bring their vehicles in for the free replacement service. The replacement process typically takes one to two hours and will be carried out at no cost to the owner.Your safety is our priority. Please contact your local Toyota dealer if you have any questions or concerns.

Why This Recall Matters
